Another bonus of the trip was Meredith and I received FREE Vera Bradley bags! Apparently someone who works for Vera Bradley had breast cancer a few years back and was treated at the IU Cancer Center. She now returns a few times a year with free handbags for the patients (and apparently their guests. Ha!). Isn't that neat?

Fun with Aunt Meredith
Well, after our adventure to Lexington, Aunt Meredith came to visit our home on Tuesday evening. She took care of Warner on Wednesday and Thursday, then the three of us traveled to Indianapolis Thursday night. We spent the night at Aunt Meredith and Uncle Justin's house that night (Uncle Justin had the flu, so Warner didn't get to see him much). Then, Friday morning, Warner and I accompanied Meredith to her chemo infusion. It was a long day, and Warner was not very interested in napping (there was SO much going on!) but he did great. He was of course the hit with all of the nurses and patients at the IU Cancer Center!

This is Warner and Meredith on Thursday night. I have a better picture of the two of them (with Warner giving a huge smile), but I can't figure out how to rotate it correctly on this blog. Anyway, he REALLY likes his Aunt Muff!
Warner and Aunt Meredith in the waiting room before meeting with Dr. Helft and his nurse, Kelly. They were both very happy to meet Warner and he gave them plenty of smiles!
The two of them napped a bit during the four-hour infusion, between Warner flirting with all of the nurses. :)
