Well, we all headed to Snowshoe, West Virginia last Wednesday. Meredith, Justin, and my mom all came to our house Tuesday night so we could leave together the following morning. It was a long drive - we left around 10am and didn't get there until about 9pm - but we made a lot of stops and had some snow to contend with. Here's a picture of Warner and my mom getting ready to leave the house Wednesday.
Of course we had to stop for lunch at the Cracker Barrel (my favorite) - this picture was taken there with Meredith and Justin. Warner was SUCH a trooper! He slept most of the drive and when he was awake he was generally happy. He only fussed for the last 20 minutes or so of the drive, as we drove up the mountain. I couldn't blame him though, the windy road was getting to me, too!
Warner enjoyed playing with Aunt Muff in the back seat as we drove up the mountain.
And, what trip is complete without a stop for cheese fries? Meredith and Justin decided that was just what they needed to get them through ...
And my lovely husband opted for a double-decker oatmeal cream pie. Has anyone ever heard of these before? We were quite amazed that they even make them. It was simply huge.
After we arrived Wednesday we settled in and went to bed pretty early. The next day Warner enjoyed time with Meredith and my mom while my dad, Justin, Kevin, and I all skied. Here Warner is taking a nap with Meredith - it was just too precious to not take!

And this is what my parents did to Warner when we were skiing. Poor guy.
Kevin, Warner, and I drove back Saturday so Kevin could be back for work on Sunday. It was a uneventful drive again, with Warner doing great. He even learned how to grab his toy that hangs from his car seat handle during the drive - it was a pretty neat accomplishment! We are so thankful for the time together, and Warner and I are looking forward to spending 8 days in Florida with my family next week. I'll be sure to update after we return!
