Fun in the Sun

We survived our first trip to the beach! We left almost two weeks ago with my mom and Meredith for Tampa/St. Petersburg on an early flight from Indianapolis. Maneuvering through the airport with all of our luggage was quite a pain, but Warner was great on the plane - he slept most of the flight.
We were able to spend time with a lot of my mom's family during our trip. My grandma and grandpa Warner (my mom's parents) stay in Florida for two months each spring, and generally all of the kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids come to visit during their spring break. We got to visit with my Aunt Debbie Gregg, Uncle Doug, cousin MaNell, Emme, cousin Katie, Aunt Debbie Warner, Uncle Tom, cousin Tommy, Jami, Maddi and Trey, and Misty, Matt, Alex, Elizabeth, and Lucas. Whew! Quite a few people, but it is wonderful that way!Warner enjoyed the pool, although I must admit he liked it better when my mom swam with him rather than me. I apparently can't make the same neat noises my mother makes when she spins him around in his float. Here we are in the pool with Grammie and Great-Grandpa Warner. Warner also enjoyed many walks on the beach in his front carrier as well as his stroller. He napped like a champ most days, and my grandma babysat so I could lay by the pool with the girls. It was great! My mom also babysat quite a bit, so I was able to run each day and take plenty of naps myself. It was a true vacation!

Warner and I also took walks in the evenings to the grocery store or just to "see the sights". We miss the warm weather and the sun already!
